What We Do
Thrive Edge Consulting is a Workforce Accessibility Consulting firm that helps employers confidently hire, onboard, and retain Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Hearing Loss employees. We strengthen the connection between employers and talent by preparing both sides for success through a structured, four‑pillar accessibility system.
Our approach is built on Accessibility Strategy & Assessment, Employer and Communication Training, Employee Preparation Training, and Candidate Introductions. Together, these pillars create a clear, repeatable framework that improves communication, reduces turnover, and builds long‑term workplace confidence.
We partner with businesses to analyze their current systems, identify barriers, and implement practical accessibility solutions that fit real‑world operations. At the same time, we prepare Deaf and Hard of Hearing professionals for workplace expectations, communication strategies, and long‑term success.

Founder, CEO, and Leading Consultant
Michael J. Schweiger
Michael was born in a military family and grew up in Washington state. He has 20-plus years of experience in change management, workplace education, and coordination for restaurants, non-profit organizations, and businesses. Michael has worked with youth organizations to help teenagers be more prepared for their future and understand their independent and working life skills. He is also specialized in deafness and has worked with Deaf communities. Michael graduated with a bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language Studies and a minor in Humanities from Western Oregon University. Michael also has an MS in Business Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
Michael founded Thrive Edge Consulting LLC to continue providing services to businesses, organizations, and people who need help improving, growing, and innovating so they can thrive confidently and positively.
